New Programme Adopted!
The celebration of ECDay this year has brought along some very happy news and we are happy to announce the official adoption of the Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020 by the European Commission on 7 September 2015.
Following the hard work of programming experts, supported and guided by the members of the joint Hungarian-Croatian Task Force, the document was elaborated, fine-tuned and submitted to the European Commission in March.
After having received formal comments of the document from the European Commission, the Managing Authority worked with the expert team on resolving the mostly technical issues, while keeping the information channel with the Commission constantly open in the form of informal consultations and upon the co-ordination with Croatian national authority and based on Task Force decision re-submitted the amended document in June to enter the final phase of the adoption process.
The long journey to the new programme finally ended when the document was officially adopted by the European Commission with the decision number C(2015)6228 on 7 September 2015.
The Programme can now formally enter the implementation phase, with the first steps already taken, as a Preliminary Monitoring Committee Meeting of the Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme was held prior to its Opening Conference in Čakovec, only two days after the formal adoption.
With all the formal conditions now met programme implementation can begin, with the setting up of the programme implementing structures already well under way, thanks to the firm foundations set within the 2007-2013 programme period.
