3 in 1 Conference in Čakovec
This year’s European Co-operation Day in the Hungary-Croatia cross-border area will be celebrated in style: we are bringing together all the people taking part in the Hungary-Croatia CBC Programme 2007-2013 to share their experiences and discover the new opportunities that the Interreg Co-operation Programme offers, at the annual Programme Conference in Čakovec, Croatia.
The HU-HR CBC Programme has supported INTERACT’s European Co-operation Day campaign since its beginning in 2012 and has every intention to continue to do so in the new programming period as well. What better opportunity, then, to close one Programme’s implementation and kick-off its successor than at an event celebrating the Europe-wide Co-operation!
The Closing/Opening Conference is to be held in Čakovec, Croatia on 10 September 2015, with the keynote speakers already confirmed, including Ms Helga Bubanović Devčić, Assistant Minister for Regional Development and EU Funds in Croatia, Mr Zsigmond Perényi, Deputy State Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office in Hungary, His Excellency Mr József Zoltán Magyar, Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Croatia and His Excellency Mr Gordan Grlić Radman, Ambassador of Croatia to the Republic of Hungary, furthermore County Prefect of Međimurska County, Mr Matija Posavec and Mayor of Čakovec, Mr Stjepan Kovač, with the expected high level of European Commission representation by Ms Lena Andersson Pench, Director in Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy
These and other speakers at the Conference will all have a chance to share their views about the importance of co-operation in the border area for the local communities, which will be especially emphasised through the presentation of results of the projects realised within the frame of the 2007-2013 Programme by the project owners themselves.
While being an opportunity to take a look back at the many achievements of the 2007-2013 Programme, the Conference will also be a chance for the potential beneficiaries of the future Programme to get more information about the new generation of co-operation programmes and the opportunities for new joint projects open to them within the Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020.
