Monitoring Committee approves four Operations of Strategic Importance of the Interreg VI-A Hungary-Croatia Programme 2021-2027
At the 4th meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Interreg VI-A Hungary-Croatia Programme 2021-2027, held online on 15 April 2025, co-financing of four Operations of Strategic Importance (OSI) with a total value of 10.928 004,59 EUR from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) was approved.
A total of 19 Croatian and 12 Hungarian Project Partner organisations will be participating in these strategic projects which will be implemented within 42 to 48 months from the individual project starting dates.
Two approved OSI-s will have a Lead Partner organisation from Hungary, and two will be coordinated by a Lead Partner from Croatia – these organisations will play a key role in the design and coordination of the entire project, and will guide their project partnership towards achieving its objectives.

Completion Letters To Be Expected Soon
The formal- and eligibility assessment of applications submitted to the 1st open Call for Proposals has been finished, opening the door for the sending of letters requesting completion.
First Call for Proposals – Number of Applications Submitted
The first open Call of the new, 2021-2027 programming period proved to be attractive for the applicants of the Hungarian-Croatian border region: by the submission deadline of 29 November 2024, at 12.00 CET a total of 129 applications were submitted by a long and diverse list of potential project partners.
Call for Assessors Opened
The Joint Secretariat in agreement with the Managing Authority and the two National Authorities has launched a Call for Assessors.

Public consultations on the scope of the Strategic Environmental Assessment for Policy Objective 3 of the Programme
The Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia (MRDEUF), as the Managing Authority of the Programme, started the SEA procedure for the Programme's PO3 on 28 October 2024, by adopting the Decision on initiating the SEA procedure for the Programme's PO3.
Opening Conference of the 2021-2027 Programme
The official opening event of the Interreg VI-A Hungary-Croatia Programme will be held on 19 September 2024 in the Hrvatski dom in Križevci, Croatia.
Launch of the First Open Call for Proposals

Impact Assessment of Programme - Survey
The experts of the Central European Service for Cross-border Initiatives (CESCI), as part of the second phase of the evaluation of the implementation of the Programme are conducting an impact assessment of the Programme in the period 2014-2020.
Aiming to collect as many inputs as possible, the Joint Secretariat will be sending out an email on CESCI’s behalf, with the questionnaire to be filled in by organisations that have participated in the Programme.
