The primary goal of this project was to enhance cross-border cooperation (CBC) in sustainable energy by promoting appropriate CBC connections and share knowledge in order to foster sustainable and value-added exploitation of region’s natural resources. Development of strategic and technical documents was needed in cross-border area and local levels in order to implement various activities that promote sustainable use of energy. Conference and workshops were held with educational and dissemination activities having the goal of fostering sustainable use of energy in the entire CBC region. Sustainable energy days were organized to dissemination and public awareness activities that promote sustainable use of energy to experts, local governments, academic institutions but also to general public in entire CBC region. Transfer of the best practices from the old EU member enabled project partners to learn about existing best practices in EU and implement it in CBC region.
