Recognizing the production of honey as one of the joint strengths of the border region, the partners of the project came together to set up a cross-border route of honey and bees. Besides investment into tourism attractions and infrastructure based on bees and honey, the project also included education of existing and future beekeepers and honey makers, workshops for children focusing on honey-based creative products and honey tasting and rating events.
The project included more than 30 honey producers from both sides all joining the new thematic route, and was complemented by the mobile application and a website all dedicated to the promotion of honey and honey-based products.
